Description
Weather conditions:
The 1998 vintage brought many hopes, with a very mild and dry weather, and rather high temperatures, throughout the beginning of the year and until the end of August. Then, the rainy month of September prompted early harvests, end to end under the rain. Nice maturities nevertheless, and a vintage carried by the Baco.
Alcohol content at bottling:
45°
Date of distillation:
November 1998
Grape varieties:
Baco 100%
Tasting notes:
Golden amber colour with mahogany reflections.
The nose is dominated by spices, cinnamon and clove, rancio (almond, humus) and plum compote.
The mouth is on a rather dry profile, developing on spices, liquorice stick and ground pepper. Very nice length.
It is an armagnac that should be opened well ahead the tasting.
