A mild, wet winter caused early bud break. Very hot summer with strong storms. Harvest started in October during dry, hot weather, giving rise to good quantities of wine with higher alcohol content than previous years. The 1983 Armagnac needs a few more years before attaining its peak as a great vintage.

Excellent finesse. Aromas of spice, pepper stands out. Freshness and length, outstanding complexity and amplitude. Flavours of roasted almond, finale of cocoa.
